Macleay Valley National Parks include: Arakoon National Park,, Carrai National Park, Cunnawarra National Park, Goolawah National Park, Goolawah Regional Park, Hat Head National Park, Limeburner's Creek National Park, New England National Park, Ngambaa Nature Reserve, Oxley Wild Rivers National Park and Willi Willi National Park. The parks cover a wide variety of ecosystems from coastal sand dunes, coastal rainforest, wetlands, open forest, heathlands to the cool temperate Gondwana Rainforest.
School excursions to the New England National Park can have guided programs for Journey to an Ancient World suiting Stage 4 students.
